At Aim High GunDogs we are dedicated to following a responsible breeding program. Our focus, at all times, is on keeping our dogs healthy and happy while ensuring the health, temperament and longevity of our future generations. Our german shorthairs are raised in a loving family environment inside our home.
Health
All of our adults are health tested through the OFA (orthopedic foundation for animals) prior to breeding.
Please inquire about our health testing or feel free to check the OFA website yourself using our German Shorthaired Pointers' full registered name.
Puppies are dewormed, minimally vaccinated for parvo and distemper and fully examined by our veterinarian prior to going to their new homes.
Temperament
Our program is founded on outstanding pedigreed stock. All of our dogs have exceptional temperaments which are passed on to each generation.
Puppies are temperament tested prior to placement using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test.
Lifestyle
All of our German Shorthaired Pointers are raised in our home with our family. Our home is situated on 18 acres allowing us many opportunities for exercise and exploration. We have five children who participate in our dogs' daily lives.
Puppies are raised in our home along with our children and adult dogs. They are raised utilizing Jane Killon's Puppy Culture to create a well balanced, confident dog through all stages of development.
Placement Process
The first step in our process is to complete our puppy questionaire.
Once received, we will be in contact to further discuss your home and upcoming available puppies.
We temperament test all puppies and puppies are placed in their matched home.
All puppies are sold with Limited AKC registration unless otherwise agreed upon.
If you are interested in a show prospect, please indicate on the puppy questionaire.
If, for any reason, at any time, you are not able to care for your Aim High German Shorthaired Pointer, the dog must be returned to Aim High Gun Dogs. At no time, can an Aim High German Shorthaired Pointer ever be surrendered to a shelter, sold or otherwise given away under any circumstance. This is to ensure the lifelong well-being of our dogs.
